Lans A. Fofana - better known as FO - initially began his fitness training career as a volunteer; conducting group fitness training for other Marines who were placed on the remedial fitness squad (unable to perform to the Marine Corps fitness standards) in 1998 while stationed at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Nearly 4 years later, his services extended to Naval personnel, Department of Defense employees, civilians and organized sports teams in Hawaii.
As a U.S. Soldier, FO continued to voluntarily provide fitness training services to military and civilian personnel while deployed in Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004. In 2005, FO became a Master Fitness Trainer in the U.S. Army. While stationed in Seattle, Washington, FO's passion for fitness training led him to obtain his Fitness Training certification from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) in 2006. FO also became a Certified Specialist in Exercise Therapy through ISSA, holds a BS from Hawaii Pacific University and an MBA from University of Phoenix.
Throughout his life, FO has been an avid soccer, basketball, rugby, and football player on high school, college, military and local community leagues. FO is committed to continued education and mastery of his craft. Accordingly, he is currently enrolled in an Associates Degree program in Exercise Science with ISSA.
