About Coach Abe PT
I’ve been an athlete my whole life and found a love for fitness and helping others 8 years ago. I needed to find a way to elevate my game and started lifting weights/bodybuilding at 18.
I played ice hockey at the junior level (before college) and was an NCAA Division 3 Lacrosse player.
I have an associates degree in Sports, Nutrition and Fitness management and a bachelors degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science and Physiology.
Before I started my second year of college lacrosse, I found CrossFit. My teammates laughed at me, until I came back to school and had noticeable physical improvement in the gym and on the field which helped move up in the roster and earn more playing time.
After I earned my bachelors degree, I started as a personal trainer in a commercial gym but I wasn’t satisfied. I decided to take a step back and become a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
I currently coach/teach group classes at two different CrossFit gyms in Brooklyn.
I’m currently working on entry to graduate school to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Throughout my fitness journey as an athlete and coach/trainer, I enjoy trying as many sports and fitness modalities as possible. I have a very good understanding of human physiology and biomechanics which my clients and students take notice to shortly after meeting me. I train my clients not only from a physical perspective, but mentally as well. The body will follow the mind and vise versa.
I normally give prospective clients a complementary session/consultation. My clients and I tackle every aspect of our fitness journey including training, nutrition, recovery and injury prevention/rehabilitation.
I train a wide variety of clients. I specialize in weight loss, weight gain, strength and conditioning/sports performance training, injury rehabilitation, etc. My schedule is flexible.
I enjoy 1on1 and small group training. My prices are reasonable and affordable.
